Remarkable sites
Four buildings are included in the Inventaire supplémentaire des monuments historiques (Supplementary inventory of historic monuments): Le Vésinet Hospital (72, avenue de la Princesse), built by Laval in 1859 as a refuge for convalescent female workers.
While the "Wood-Cottage " (122 boulevard des États-Unis), built up by Tricotel in 1864, was classified "historical monument"- the only one in Le Vésinet – in 1999. This set of protective measures has allowed Le Vésinet to stay the sole example of park-city in France. Since 1997, Le Vésinet holds the supreme distinction of the "Quatre Fleurs" (Four Flowers) at the national flowery cities and villages contest. |
