Our twin communities : Oakwood, Outremont, Unterhaching, Hunter's Hill, Worcester, Villanueva de la Canada. Oakwood (Ohio, United States; since 1972): Former agricultural area occupied by a few farms, Oakwood is now a residential city of 9500 inhabitants. Outremont (Québec, Canada; since 1975): In 1833, Louis-Tancrède Bouthillier settles at the bottom of Mount Royal, near Montréal. The town takes its name from the fact that it was "Outre Mont" (meaning on the other side of the mountain in French) opposite Montréal city. It becomes a commune in 1875, the same year that Le Vésinet becomes one too. Today, it is a residential area of 22 500 inhabitants.
Unterhaching (Bavaria, Germany; since 1978): In the 16 th century, Unterhaching is composed by 57 houses and only 93 in 1880, with 476 inhabitants. The face of the village changes after the First World War. Actually, with its 22 000 inhabitants, Unterhaching is one of the three most important communes of the Munich district. Hunter's Hill (Australia; friendship pact since 1988): Founded in 1847 by the French Jules and Didier Joubert, Hunter's Hill is actually a much appreciated site by its 14 000 inhabitants because of its exceptional location in Sydney's bay. County town of Worcester, this animated country city, near the town of Birmingham, has a wonderful medieval cathedral. Villanueva de la Canada (Spain; since 2006): Located 40 km from Madrid.
